Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. The girl is English and one-half Spanish. Parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish as well as English origin is her mother. Her mother has Spanish and English ancestral roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's prior marriage. They lived together at home in Buenos Aires from the time she was just six up until the day they left for Victoria, London. Taylor-Joy said the move into London was difficult and that she was unable to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the switched from Northlands. Her next school was Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in shows. In the year she turned 16 she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and the dream became a reality when she was approached for a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
