Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs in The One Direction band. He was born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England 1 February 1994, he is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There, with three other students, he created his group musical, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive results. He always had an interest in music, but also wanted to work as the profession of a lawyer, physiotherapist, or even a scout. In order to provide for the family he worked a short time working part-time at a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and was a part of Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. This meant that his group had to be separated. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join a future band that would be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. The group was however placed third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell didn't win the competition. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
