Kari Samantha was an American actor, performer and singer (born on the 28th of April, 1967). She began her professional career as an teen and is most well recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. She has three siblings. She was a teenage singer performing in clubs, sneaking away from her family in order to perform. At the Wooster school at the age of thirteen, she began studying the art of drama. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known instructor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied.
